SmartParc in the Rest of World
SmartParc is currently undertaking a number of market evaluation studies, assessing opportunities in priority markets around the world. We are also talking to inter-government organisations and international trade bodies to identify areas of greatest need and opportunity.
This review is focusing initially on Asia and Africa, with particular interest in Kenya, India and Indonesia. We also have ambitions to set up SmartParc sites in Latin America and Australasia in the longer term.
Our long-term goal is for SmartParc to support food systems transformation in both developed and developing countries worldwide, and to make a real contribution to the UN’s Sustainable Development goals, as well as the commercial and sustainability objectives of food production companies both large and small.
This commitment aligns well with the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which includes 17 priority goals. SmartParc can contribute to many of these, including:
- Zero Hunger
- Good Health and Wellbeing
- Clean Water
- Affordable Clean Energy
- Economic Growth
- Sustainable Cities and Communities
- Responsible Consumption and Production
- Climate Action
- Partnerships
